[he's guessing that rook was different at that age, when a lot of teenagers find humor in the naked statues and don't quite get the abstract paintings. old things are just...old. so many of them are looking to the future.
he probably wasn't much different. he did appreciate comic book art, old martial arts films, that sort of thing. but he doesn't recall a wing for any of that here. maybe, though. maybe he will come to appreciate these things, see them a little more through rook's eyes.

I was only there for a couple of days. I didn't get a chance to sight-see much. The food was good. [and that's all he's really gotten out of all the places he's been - a meal or two, not even really enough to give him an idea of what the food is like in that part of the world.] You seem to have a lot of stories.
